Ceaira Cook 34yrs Akron Woman identified in Recent Fatalities, Summit County Medical
The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office has released formal identifications regarding several investigations conducted over the past few days, providing clarity to families and the local community following a series of tragic incidents.
In one of the most recent accidents, officials identified the victim of a truck collision that occurred on September 4 at the Summa Health System Barberton campus. The woman who passed away in the accident has been identified as 34-year-old Ceaira Cook of Akron.
Additionally, the Medical Examiner has provided an identity for a man discovered earlier this week. On September 4, a fisherman working from a dock in Summit Lake encountered the body of a man who had previously remained unidentified. He has since been identified as 24-year-old Raheem Heard, also of Akron.
Authorities are also continuing to process a homicide investigation that took place in Barberton between September 4 and September 5. While the investigation remains active, the Medical Examiner’s Office stated that the victim’s name is being withheld at this time. Officials noted that the identity will not be released until all surviving next-of-kin have been formally notified.
