In Loving Memory Of Steven Loots, Founder of Harvesters Ministries, Has Passed Away
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the news that Steven Loots, the visionary Founder of Harvesters Ministries, has passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus after a courageous and long battle with cancer.
Steven was more than a leader; he was a beacon of light. His life and testimony were a profound joy to all who knew him—offering strength to seasoned believers and a guiding hand to those still finding their way in faith. His tireless pursuit of bringing the Gospel to the ends of the earth was not a mere mission, but a lifelong calling. Even in his passing, his influence remains vibrant through the countless lives he touched and the global work he ignited.
True to his character, Steven often reminded us that his ministry was never about his own name or recognition. Instead, his heart beat for the mission: for the remote villages that still long for a church, for pastors being trained in their own native languages, and for ordinary believers being empowered to become disciple-makers.
Beyond his global impact, Steven was a devoted family man. As a leader, father, and grandfather, he served the Harvesters community with unmatched generosity and loving care. While his departure feels like a monumental earthly loss, we find comfort knowing that for heaven, it is a glorious gain.
We extend our deepest condolences to his beloved wife, Hannalie, their sons, and the entire family.
Rest well, Steven. Your race is won.
