The Akron community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 24-year-old Raheem Heard after his body was discovered in Summit Lake on Friday evening.
According to authorities, the discovery was made at approximately 5:10 p.m. on September 4. A man who was fishing from a dock reportedly noticed a body in the water and immediately alerted authorities.
First responders arrived at the lake and recovered the body from the water.
The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed the deceased as Raheem Heard of Akron.
