On Sunday, September 6, 2026, at approximately 9:46 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Walmart Neighborhood Market located on West California Avenue following reports of a stabbing. Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement officials located a victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. Emergency medical protocols were initiated to address the victim’s injuries.
Following an immediate investigation at the scene, officers successfully identified and apprehended a suspect. The offender has been identified as 46-year-old Yolanda Davis of Ruston. Davis was taken into custody without further incident and is currently being processed by authorities.
